The follow-up to 2018's "...Echoes of Another Dawn", a single-track memorial to a lost friend, "...Echoes of Another Dawn II" is much more than a sequel and in fact greatly expands on the long-form concept, pushing the music in new directions and finding expressive dimensions in sound beyond the strictly "ambient" or new-age genre labels.

Clocking in at over 24 minutes and comprising roughly three seamlessly integrated sections, "...Echoes II" ebbs and flows along the steadily pulsing pathways of modulation matrices and bubbling sequencers before culminating in a triumphant -- and unexpectedly tuneful -- conclusion.

Chiefly inspired by the work of electronic music pioneers like Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Manuel Göttsching, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Wendy Carlos and Jean-Michel Jarre, along with the film scores of the Italian progressive group Goblin, "...Echoes of Another Dawn II" is not only a continuation of such groundbreaking styles but a complete 21st-century re-imagining, making use of new advances in music technology while retaining an ear for the classics.

More importantly, however, it is a celebration of the imagination, which alone has the power to inspire us to great deeds and noble undertakings, no matter where and by whatever means, and without which all human enterprise would lack purpose or meaning.
